What We Teach

Applied Textiles
Increase your technical skills and broaden your knowledge of printing and fabric manipulation by exploring the qualities and performance of different types of fabrics. You’ll also learn to produce collections of textile designs.
Designing Your Future
Today’s textile design industry requires a specialized skill set to cover a wide array of outside industries. We teach the skills needed for distinct job opportunities that cover a number of textile needs. Demand for textile designers crosses industries such as fashion, transportation, product, interior design, and more.
Graphic Design in Fashion
Learn how graphics and graphic design are used in fashion, clothing, and accessories. You will gain more control over your garments and flexibility in your designs. Gain skills in myriad different mediums, including photography and digital imaging.
Silkscreen
Learn the art of prints using the direct photo emulsion stencil method of printing with water-based inks. You’ll develop specialized knowledge for using a variety of papers and inks to create works of fine art and contemporary communications.

Textile Design Degrees

In the Textile Design degree program you will learn to have a keen eye, to lead trends, and to realize your creative concepts. We focus on printed surface design—using a variety of techniques—for almost unlimited combinations of materials and uses. Get hands-on experience learning industry-standard textile lab equipment like repeat yardage print tables (various lengths), heat transfer presses, light tables, steamers, backlit wash off troughs, a vacuum table and 700 plus silkscreens, just to name a few.
